It's Been Quite Some Time

Making shallot and potato soup as I type. 


And now it's done. I kind of just started writing this because it's been a long time. And Zack finally updated his blog, so I felt like I probably should too. I guess there are some updates in order:


I am currently reading The Lazarus Project by Aleksandar Hemon. A novel (I guess you could say) about Chicago. It's very fun so far. 


I applied for a job at Groupon and made it to the second phase, but that's where my journey stopped. It was a fun exercise in writing a very specific form, but I don't think I was ever very good at writing parodies. 


I read Scorch Atlas by Blake Butler. I was a little disappointed by it. I might catch some flack for that, but I get bored by some of his sentences. Not just his sentences but sentences that are there just for the sound or look of the words. That's all I have to say on that.
