I've Changed!

Hey you. Yes you. 

I have decided to change the look of my blog and I like it. Though, I think I'm going to have to change the banner. Oh well. Some news:

• I'm writing poetry. More on this later.
• I've almost finished my re-write of "Says Arlo". It's a story about six ranchers and a sheriff burying 53 dead cows after a fellow rancher shoots all of his cattle before shooting himself. It's about mortality. Go figure. One of these days I'll get away from that theme. Arlo was friends with the now dead neighbor, Abe. He is old and the older he gets, the more friends die. I want to explore what it's like to be confronted with death almost exponentially. What does it do to Arlo when his last friend dies? Does he use each cow as if it were a heavy memory, burying it deep, until finally all the weight is off his shoulders? Or does that weight pile up with each hole dug like words adding up to a sentence? I'm trying to find out.
• I broke a string on my guitar so I haven't been playing so much. I plan on getting new strings and writing some music soon. 
• Working on making a website for Inkshed. Writing my own code = headaches galore²
